Simple, un-lined construction, with built on sleeves (dolman-like) and a one-piece front placket, make this a quick coat to sew up.     The collar can be buttoned for a warm stand-up collar or can lay flat. The large front placket can be buttoned either direction with big novelty buttons or plain and simple ones.

    You can add large snaps or even button-and-loops or frogs. The wide sleeves come nearly to the wrist and end in a wide and deep cuff. Make the cuff and/or collar from contrasting fabric (or even fur) for an interesting or dramatic look.
