Harmony the Highland Cow (or ‘coo’) is happiest frolicking in the Scottish heather. Her sturdy body makes her a perfect toy for kids or a trendy décor item. You can sew Harmony in most fabrics—including quilting cottons, cuddle fabrics or even fake fur. A felt forelock pattern piece is included so you don’t need to use fur, and flower-crown pieces are included for optional embellishment.

Recommended fabrics: Most fabrics work well—quilted cottons were used in the sample. For a plush version you can use cuddle, fleece or fake fur (pile direction should flow outward from the face). The felt forelock is included to replace fur if you prefer.

Specific requirements:

Main fabric – 42 cm × 110 cm (16½ in × 43 in) wide.

Contrast fabric – 25 cm × 50 cm (10 in × 20 in) wide.

Horn fabric – 16 cm × 18 cm (6¼ in × 7 in).

Felt forelock – 10 cm × 25 cm (6¼ in × 7 in) (only needed if not using fur).

15 mm craft eyes.

Felt scraps for flower crown pieces.

Polyester thread in matching colour.
