Everyone loves a Dachshund! This pattern lets you sew a sweet pair of sausage-dog siblings: Dixie with her tail down, and brother Digger with his upright ‘puppy’ tail. They’re ideal for cuddling and make a fun, stylish soft toy project.

Recommended fabrics: Most fabrics work well. Quilting cottons were used in the sample, but stretch fabrics such as fleece or minky will make a fluffy, snuggly version.

Specific requirements:

Main fabric – 30 cm × 110 cm (12 in × 44 in).

Contrast fabric – 25 cm × 55 cm (10 in × 22 in).

Felt scrap for nose.

15 mm craft eyes (brown or black).

Optional: 30 cm (12 in) ribbon for collar.

Polyester thread in matching colour.

Marking tool.
